Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing is recalling 228,367 Toyota Sienna Hybrid 7-passenger vehicles from model years 2022 through 2026. The recall addresses a problem where the second-row seat backs may fail to remain secured during a crash.

If the seat back is not secured properly, it may fail to protect occupants as intended in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

What Toyota Will Do

Toyota dealers will update the supplemental restraint system (SRS) electronic control unit (ECU) software to address this issue. For vehicles equipped with the "Mobility as a Service" (MaaS) package, the two second-row seat backs will be replaced entirely.

Recall Timeline and Owner Information

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed starting December 7, 2026. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owners can contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331 for more information. Toyota’s recall identification numbers for this campaign are 26TB24 and 26TA24.
