Toyota’s 2027 battery electric vehicles—the bZ, bZ Woodland, and C-HR—offer up to 338 total system horsepower with all-wheel drive, blending practical daily use with engaging electric performance. These models deliver instant torque and stable handling thanks to dual-motor eAxles and a low center of gravity.
This lineup demonstrates Toyota’s commitment to electric vehicles that don’t sacrifice driving excitement or versatility. From compact city-friendly SUVs to spacious family models, Toyota’s BEVs feature quiet refinement and efficient powertrains engineered for confident control in various driving conditions.
Performance engineered for stability and control
All three models use Toyota’s BEV e-TNGA platform, which places the battery pack flat under the floor to lower the center of gravity and increase chassis rigidity. This design, combined with a battery cross-framing structure and lightweight body construction, improves ride quality and handling precision.
The bZ offers multiple power levels: 165 hp on the XLE FWD, 221 hp on the XLE FWD Plus and Limited FWD, and 338 hp on AWD versions. Drivers can adjust regenerative braking using paddle shifters on the steering wheel, tailoring the driving feel to their preference.
All-wheel drive and terrain capability
The bZ Woodland and C-HR come standard with dual-motor AWD systems that provide balanced power delivery and enhanced traction. The bZ Woodland includes X-MODE® and low-speed Grip Control features to help maintain steady progress on challenging terrain.
The compact C-HR BEV combines a sporty design with a 338 hp AWD system, producing 198 lb-ft of torque up front and 125 lb-ft in the rear. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in an estimated 4.9 seconds, making it agile for urban driving and tight parking.
