Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling 13,330 Dodge Durango vehicles from the 2026 model year due to a potential problem with the tail light wiring harness. The terminals in the wiring harness may be damaged, which can cause the tail lights to fail. This failure means the vehicles do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, which covers lamps and reflective devices.

Safety risk from tail light failure

Tail lights that do not illuminate properly reduce the visibility of the vehicle to other drivers, especially in low light or nighttime conditions. This increases the risk of a crash as other drivers may not see the vehicle braking or turning.

Recall remedy and owner notification

Chrysler dealers will inspect the tail light assemblies on affected vehicles and replace them if necessary. This repair will be provided free of charge to vehicle owners. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed starting December 3, 2026. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 29, 2026.
