General Motors, LLC is recalling 12,715 GMC Savana and Chevrolet Express vehicles from model years 2025 and 2026 due to a potential steering safety issue. The problem involves a nut in the steering gear assembly that may not have been properly tightened, which could separate while driving.
If this nut separates, it can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash. GM will inspect the steering gear assembly's serial number and replace the assembly if necessary, free of charge to owners.
